Terms & Conditions
1. Driver Eligibility
- Renters and authorised drivers must be at least 23 years old.
- A valid full driving licence (Non-P Licence Holder) is required throughout the rental period.
- HERE reserves the right to refuse any booking that does not meet the eligibility requirements.
2. Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit is required before vehicle collection.
- The deposit amount varies depending on the selected vehicle.
- The deposit will be refunded within 10–14 working days after the vehicle has been returned, inspected, and found to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
3. Late Return Policy
- Vehicles must be returned on or before the agreed return time.
- Late returns will incur additional rental charges based on the duration of the delay.
- Customers are encouraged to notify HERE as early as possible if a late return is unavoidable.
4. Smoking & Vape Policy
- Smoking, vaping, or the use of any tobacco-related products is strictly prohibited inside all rental vehicles.
- If this policy is breached, the renter agrees to pay a cleaning and deodorising fee starting from RM250, or the actual repair cost if damage has occurred to the vehicle's interior. HERE reserves the right to deduct these charges from the security deposit.
5. Accident & Vehicle Damage
- In the event of an accident, theft, or vehicle damage, the renter must contact HERE immediately.
- The renter must not admit liability or arrange repairs without prior approval from HERE.
- A police report may be required where applicable.
- Additional charges may apply depending on the circumstances of the incident and the applicable insurance coverage.
6. Traffic Fines & Summons
- The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines, toll violations, parking penalties, and road offences incurred during the rental period.
- If HERE receives any summons after the rental has ended, the renter remains liable for all associated charges and administrative fees.
7. Fuel Policy
- Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when they were collected. If the fuel level is lower upon return, the renter will be charged for the fuel difference together with any applicable service fee.
8. Vehicle Cleanliness
- Vehicles should be returned in a clean and reasonable condition.
- Excessive dirt, stains, rubbish, sand, mud, pet hair, or other abnormal cleaning requirements may result in additional cleaning charges and may affect the refund of the security deposit.
9. Prohibited Use
The renter shall not:
- Allow an unauthorised person to drive the vehicle.
- Drive under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that impairs driving ability.
- Use the vehicle for racing, drifting, reckless driving, or any illegal activity.
- Use the vehicle to carry prohibited or illegal goods.
- Overload the vehicle beyond its permitted passenger or luggage capacity.
- Use the vehicle for commercial hire, ride-hailing, or delivery services without prior written approval.
- Travel outside Malaysia unless prior written approval has been obtained from HERE.
10. Cross-Border Travel
- Travel to Thailand or Singapore is only permitted with prior approval from HERE and is subject to vehicle availability, additional documentation, and applicable charges.
11. Booking Cancellation
- Cancellation policies and refund eligibility are subject to the booking terms provided at the time of reservation. Any approved refund of the security deposit will be processed according to the applicable cancellation policy.
12. General
- By confirming a booking and collecting the vehicle, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions. HERE Car Rental reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions without prior notice where necessary.
